Sad News
I was very sad to read in the local paper today that two members of South Molton Town Band had died in an accident.
Steve Potter a Euphonium player and his wife Mel a tenor horn player were involved in a head on collision with a lorry while driving in treacherous conditions on A361 North Devon link road on Saturday morning.
Steve was also a bus driver and will be missed by all his passengers.
I am sure I speak on behalf of the Two Rivers band when I say our thoughts are with Steve and Mels families and friends . South Molten Band will find the spaces they have left very difficult to fill I am sure
R.I.P. Steve and Mel Potter.

Happy 2010
Well this is what we woke up to this morning. A complete white out. So I was quite relieved to get an email to say that band tomorrow is cancelled. I can't actually get out. Our neighbour had to go to hospital and the ambulance just about made it in but needed the help of a tractor to get out.
We have the band dinner to look forward to next week weather permitting.
