Band Social

Last night we had the band social. Every body arrived about the same time and placed their plates of food on the table. The savoury in the kitchen and the puds in the dining room. There was a lot of chit chat and exchanging of cards and eating/drinking.
It was time for a little blow. A few Christmassy tunes were played and there was some swapping of instruments which was interesting.A good night was had by all and a big thank you to our hosts.
We will be having a break now until January. Our next event will be another social in January.

Instow Concert

Last night was the Carol concert at Instow. The weather was kind and we were able to play outside the Commodore Hotel. We played requested carols for about 30 minutes by a very impressive Christmas tree. This was followed by a mini concert in the near by village hall and was rounded of by a very welcome glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
Now we have the band social to look forward to.

Chulmleigh Concert

The concert last night in Chulmleigh was a success. Although we were sat quite along way from the audience I don't think it made any difference to the overall sound. It may even have improved it. It was rather cold! The soloist did a good job,it can't be easy standing out in front on your own. The mulled wine went down very well as did the buffet.
Tomorrow evening we are playing at Instow, outside if it is not raining.
I still haven't got anymore pictures to show you but we are having a band social next Wednesday so I will take my camera!

Our next event will be the Christmas concert at Chulmleigh church on Friday 4th Dec at 7 30. For more details and a map visit www.chulmleigh.org/ The programme will include a wide variety of music including Christmas favourites. If you live in the area why not come along.
